EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) is a structured therapy that helps your brain reprocess difficult or traumatic experiences in a way that feels safer and less triggering. It doesn't involve talking in detail about the trauma — instead, it uses guided eye movements or other forms of bilateral stimulation to help your brain release and reorganise painful memories and make sense of them.
